HARRIS COMMUNICATIONS WINS
2003 BELL RINGER AWARD
Cambridge, MA, June 5, 2003---For the second
consecutive year, Harris Communications won the prestigious Publicity Club
of New England Bell Ringer Award.
At a ceremony last night in Cambridge, MA, HarrisCom was honored for
a national press release headlined
"Forsyth Reseachers
Regenerate Mammalian Teeth" sent in October 2002 on behalf of
The Forsyth Institute, a scientific research organization in Boston.
The release, which described how the scientists used
tissue engineering techniques to grow porcine teeth in rat hosts, garnered
articles and broadcasts in hundreds of news outlets, worldwide. It also
led to numerous funding and collaboration possibilities for the Institute
and for the scientists.
In 2002, Harris Communications won a Bell Ringer
Award for a national press release about Forsyth scientists' quest to produce a vaccine for
dental cavities and a Merit Citation for a Forysth community
service campaign.
