Anita Harris stepped in as interim director of public affairs at the Harvard School of Public Health, which has a research and teaching faculty of 900. In a six month period,  she handled some 1000 press inquiries, wrote and sent numerous press releases, served as liaison with Harvard's central administration, hospitals and schools, handled crisis communications, and coached  health and science professionals in media relations and presentation skills. She also worked with the HSPH Webmaster to develop a public affairs Web site.
